Yes, Furcadia has a language in it's own somewhat.
Here's a dictionary of some common terms you might hear.
- furre, furres, furry, furrie, furries, furson,
fursons-
- The characters played in Furcadia, the equivalent
of saying person, people, or persons in real life.
- furry-
- Anything of an anthropomorphic nature, or saying
that something is of that nature. For example: "furry
comics".
- nuzzle, nuzzling-
- The act of rubbing heads/muzzles together, or
rubbing the muzzle against one's neck, usually a gesture
of love for one another. It could be considered a furry
substitute for kissing. (Though real kisses aren't all
too uncommon either, heh.)
- furc-
- Shorthand for "Furcadia".
- yiff, yiffing, yiffy, yiffer-
- It's basically all furre speak for "sex". It's not
too adviseable to use this word though, you might be
looked down upon as a pervert. =P
- dream, dreams-
- A world you create using the DreamEditor for
upload and use on Furcadia.
- portal, portals-
- The entry way into a dream or main map.
- guild, guilds-
- An organized group of furres for the purpose of
socializing, persona play, or role playing, complete with
a rah, taneests, and the rules the rah puts forth for the
guild.
- rah, rahs-
- The leader of a guild.
- taneest, taneests, taneesta, taneestas-
- The helpers in a guild, who are commissioned by
and assist the rah. Note that taneesta and taneestas are
terms for female taneests.
- mustie-
- Shorthand for "musteline', one of the species of
furre playable in Furcadia.
- owlsa-
- The Furcadian policemen and helpers are called
owlsa.
